I’m a Filipino citizen and currently working as a Primary School ESL teacher here in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
I love my work and I provide my students with a loving, warm, suportive and engaging environemnt to learn and grow in.
I come from a religious family and have a good reputation in our society. My parents raised me and my siblings in a decent way of living. I am married and gifted with three loving children who are all grown up. My eldest son is already in fourth year college taking up Mining Engineering; my daughter is a 1st year Architecture student and my youngest is in grade four.
Being a mother of three children, I nurture my kids not only physically, but also spiritually, socially and morally. Aside from being a hard working mother, I have taken care of and given them my precious time, attention, unconditional love, dedication and support. I have trained them to develop good study habits since they started their formal education. I consider myself as a loving, caring, supportive, kind and understanding mother. I’m a God fearing and an optimistic person. Because of my patience and hard work, my children have developed self-esteem and are now manifesting good manners and dedication towards their studies and other pursuits.
As an ESL full-time teacher, I have handled preparatory and primary English students whose ages range from three (3) t0 twelve (12) years old. Being an ESL teacher and a second mother to my students, my responsibilities are as follows: providing a warm, safe and nurturing learning environment; designing activities that allow students to work collaboratively with peers, teaching using creative, engaging, imaginative lessons that capture students’ interest and hold their attention.
I assess students’ learning on continuous basis and keep track of what students know and need to learn. I conduct benchmark assessment with the whole class throughout the year to determine which students need additional support; analyze students’ assessment data to determine their strengths, weaknesses and needs and guide instructional planning. I also encourage families to provide in-class and at-home support whenever possible while at the same time, provide ongoing feedback to reinforce students’ comprehension, vocabulary, and language development; and provide sufficient opportunities for students to actively participate in their own learning. I also exert effort in helping my students to adjust socially and behaviorally as well as provide frequent opportunities to actually do or perform a task.
It is my passion to care for children; so, whatever warmth I have bestowed on my own family, I give the same to my students. It is my conviction that being a mother and a teacher are two of the best experiences that a woman may undertake in order to develop fully as a humane individual.

Education Comments: |
I am satisfied with the degree that I have finished in Bicol University (Albay, Philippines). Although I am not currently employed in a position directly related to the field of Sociology, I find my education relevant in dealing with my everyday affairs. It helps me relate and communicate with people, which I do every day, whether at home or in school. My professors helped me build a strong educational foundation that has a profound positive influence in my life. The professors were highly competent and very much willing to guide us students to achieve our goals. The learning I have had from my professors during my university years made me to who I am right now and I will continue to take every learning I’ve had from them for the success of my goals.
