Being a caregiver,as what I've experienced during my work,it is somewhat like working in the hospital,but the only difference is,being a caregiver you can give your patient continouos care 24/7. As my first time to be as a caregiver its not easy for me to adjust especially here in Taiwan its because of their language,but later,after a month,I took it as a challenge on my part,to love ,to care ,to nurture,to look after the safety of my patient.Provide a hollistic care throughout the year,and learned to love her as my real grandmother.I understand that most elderlies are attention seekers,they want that their loved ones will focus on them like my patient,she is a hot tempered grandma,easily gets angry without reason.She is like a child with tantrums, she is a self-centered person, but as I have heard the history of her life, now I understand why she is acting such behavior,but she is kind and caring too. Maybe it depends on the person how to handle her behavior and to know how to divert her attention to make her calm. As a caregiver to her,it needs for me to have a lot of patience and understanding.I did it becuase finished my contract with her. We must learn from our experience, because it is the one who gives us lessons and knowlege.
