Dear family: I am coming from a small town in Bosnia.I grew up with my mother mostly, because my father was killed in a war, when I was six years old.It was not always easy, but we were strong. I know my father would be proud to see me now:) Since I am from Bosnia it does NOT take long to get a work permit. (around 2 months which is pretty fast ) And I am ready to start to work as soon as possible. I am ready to work long hours, I am a hard working person. I am always trying to incorporate different activities to promote children physical, mental, emotional and social health.I am currently working with a 17 months old girl. I am very creative, I love music, singing, dancing, swimming. I enjoy outdoor activities. I used to sing in a choir for 8 years.I am also very spiritual person.I have many interests including psychology. And my work with children always helps me to understand their development better trying different techniques.I love life and enjoy helping other people. I am trying to make our day fun, but also teach them discipline and good values. As a nanny I am very careful and hardworking person. I am very well organized with children. I used to take care of them as if they were my children, prepare meals, play with them, teach them different things, arts and crafts,help with reading and writing, color,clean the house, prepare healthy nutritious meals, wash and iron clothes and many other things. I have realized the huge importance of a healthy nutrition, home made meals. In my opinion we should try to eat healthy organic, home made meals. Poor nutrition can harm our child's development. As a teacher, very often I make a little classroom with children I am taking care of and they enjoy it, learning Bosnian language. I also try to take the kids out, spend some time in the park or some other surrounding, do some physical activity, take them to the museum or some local event etc. Is important to teach them good values and help them become good people. I like doing housework, children can always help:)Clean environment is very important for all of us.And I enjoy doing any kind of housework. I do my job with pleasure to the best of my abilities.I grew up myself in an environment where household duties are just part of our lives, so I perform any kind of work with pleasure. My previous employers were more than satisfied with my work. Everybody knows me as a very responsible, punctual and organized person. I had experience with children since I was a student. I was taking group of children to the lake for 15 days. I was their leader. Children like me very much and I love them more:) Working with children in New York I have learned so much. It was my pleasure to be the part of their growth and development. I was taking care of three kids in two different families. They were all very creative and it was such a joy to work with them. Every single day we would plan together, decide what to do, which games we should play the next day. They were so excited. They wanted to start it as soon as they would open their eyes:):) My Bosnian language was interesting to them and they wanted me to teach them. We used to read different stories and then do a role play. I would always encourage them to act out. I would help them to get dressed, set up a scene. I am very good with acting, I had been doing serious dramas in school so they enjoyed so much watching me doing it and then trying to imitate me.:) We also enjoyed arts and crafts together. They had different ideas, I would help them with it and some of mine. We made so many projects, pictures, different creatures. For me working with children is an art.:) They teach us about life more than anyone else. The more time we spend with them, better people we become. I am very honest, responsible, educated, loving, patient person. I will be more than grateful to work for you. I am a person who is always willing to learn more in order to provide better care and become more successful doing my job. It is never enough experience and knowledge, because we learn all of our life.
